What Makes It Unique?
Well, firstly, nobody else does it. We trust our systems so completely, that we are shouldering the financial risk for the entirety of year 1, the year that over 95% of waterproofing systems occur, usually due to disruption from environmental elements, mechanical or equipment abuses, or human error. However, we just know how darn hard it is to damage the Hulk System once it’s installed properly, so we are willing to put our money where our mouth is.

Why a hassle-free warranty? Very simple, warranties are written without the owner in mind. When warranties are furnished to the owner, they are supplied by the product manufacturer and written to protect themselves from all liability. Product manufacturers do not include labor in their warranties, material only. The common language is “if the products (system) are applied by our published application instructions correctly, we warranty the products for XX number of years.” Furthermore, if the product manufacturer concludes the product is defective, which is rare, or the product has been misapplied, the manufacturer will supply enough material to re-apply. Zero ownership, leaving the owner and the applicator to fend for themselves. This happens way too often.
The longer the product manufacturer warranty, terms of 1-20 years, the less likely the owner will be protected. In the coating’s protection world, products will fail within the first year of service if there is a problem. If the product was defective or misapplied by the applicator, the system will fail after two cycles of warm and cold weather. Less than 3% of all long-term warranties are honored by the manufacturer after one year. Typically, if the system is poorly performing or failing, the applicator will blame the manufacturer for a defective product and the product manufacturer will blame the application, leaving the owner holding the bag. Nobody should be happy with this situation, leading to arguments, finger-pointing, and distrust. It takes weeks to settle, and sometimes it ends up legal.
Most warranties are not worth the paper they’re written on. We’re Different. We believe at Hulk Systems™ we can offer owners an easy-to-understand, hassle-free warranty. It starts by having a mindset that owners need to feel comfortable that they made the correct technology choice and the right product manufacturer.
Here’s how it works:
- We manufacture our own products and author the material specifications and application instructions. There is no disconnection, which often happens in the industry.
- Our quality control and quality assurance manufacturing policies and procedures are very strict.
- All product manufacturers depend on applicator firms to apply the materials. At Hulk Systems™, applicators are selected on established criteria that must meet or exceed our quality standards. It is a preferred program, and there are no shortcuts.
- Hulk Systems™ applicators sign a purchase commitment, which includes a rigorous in-house training program. It includes a full understanding of the material systems, the application process, quality control and quality assurance policies and procedures, application equipment knowledge and troubleshooting, worker field safety, and environmental compliance.
- We acknowledge the applicator firm as a Hulk Systems™ Preferred Applicator; however, we acknowledge the individuals of the firm who completed the training and provide a certificate of training to them. After one-year trained, individuals must complete a one-day refresher training program. This ensures continuous improvement and quality workmanship practices.
When you combine this program with the applicator commitment, there is no risk to Hulk Systems™ or the applicator. Welcome to the Hassell Free One-year Material and Labor warranty.
Hulk Systems™ and our Preferred Applicator jointly warrant to the Owner a proprietary hassle-free one-year protection warranty for material and labor used on the specified project.
This is a mutual warranty to the owner from Hulk Systems™ and the Preferred Applicator. In the event, that the System does not provide waterproofing protection and or, the Products were proven to have been defectively manufactured, our obligation shall be to provide coating and direct labor costs to repair the affected area within the first year.
Hassle-Free Procedures
- Only Hulk Systems™ products and components of the System can be used.
- The surface on which the System was applied was of a quality necessary for the System to provide the protection required.
- Applicator supplies all quality control and quality assurance documentation for the project to Hulk Systems™.
- Applicator authorizes final inspection and compliance with the Hulk System™ application instructions.
- Hulk Systems™ and the Applicator must be paid within 45 days of completion and the warranty will be immediately submitted to the owner.
- Hulk Systems™ and the Applicator must be notified by the owner within 30 days of any issue detected with the system and permitted to inspect the application.
- Repairs are completed by the Applicator on or before the anniversary date of the warranty.
By way of illustration and not limitation, any and all liabilities and obligations for consequential and incidental damages, including, but not limited to, damages for injuries to persons or to property, breach of contract, or breach of the implied covenant of good faith and dealing, or negligence, or strict liability, or for labor costs, or material costs not specifically provided for herein, or for other costs of repair work, or for loss of use or time or revenues or profits, or for any claims by third parties are expressly excluded from this Warranty.
Governing Law: This Warranty shall be interpreted and construed under and following the laws of the Province of Alberta.
THIS WARRANTY IS ISSUED TO THE OWNER ONLY AND IS TRANSFERABLE OR ASSIGNABLE WITH HULK APPROVAL.
