5.4 The Products

HULK WP®

Our UV stable, single component, cold-applied liquid membrane is acrylic meaning water based, or water borne. which is directly in line with where the marketplace is headed. It carries little to no VOC’s which is the acronym for Volatile Organic Compounds, essentially long-lasting excretion from a construction coating that could continue long after it’s cured, negatively affecting the people, animals, environment, air, and food products that it comes in contact with.

The product also has zero HAP’s which is the acronym for Hazardous Airborne Pollutants, harmful off-gassing that can be extremely dangerous, flammable, explosive, poisonous or toxic to applicators, the environment, and the ozone. Many products have been discarded annually from the marketspace, as tolerances on these kinds of harmful emissions continue to drop and are stronger enforced by regulators.

Another benefit of our membrane is that it is Class “A” fire-rated, meaning that it produces extremely little black smoke (rubber burns completely black and will kill you extremely fast if ingested at a high rate) and has extremely low flame spread, meaning the acceleration at the point of ignition won’t spread, and cause a continued burning or self igniting of the rest of the coating.

The coating can be easily applied with an airless sprayer or by brush and roller which we will discuss in Module 6: Application.

HULK SRT®

Our structurally reinforced textile. When we say structure, we are referring to the structure of the composite material, not the substrate it’s applied to, however, fiber glass and Kevlar wraps have been used to reinforce colums and piles in eearthquake zones. The material is malleable, and able to mold around corners and onto footings with ease. The product is double sided woven, meaning you don’t get microscopic glass threads on your skin like from insulation.

The material is used to strengthen all types of building materials in other sectors and is also used as in lining ovens due to it’s ability to withstand temperatures of over 600˚F. Think of the extra fire protection we are giving to structures when this material is applied above grade. It’s also the only textile of its kind available in user friendly 60 lb rolls.
