Now let’s re-review the leading causes of failure in today’s leading waterproofing systems and observe how the Hulk Systems Composite Waterproofing eliminates them all.
1. Water Access Through Penetrations, Such as Seams & Joints
The Hulk Composite System is monolithic (one single surface), meaning there are zero penetrations or access points for water. The coating is applied at an even coverage, the textile is laid into the coating, and another coating is immediately applied, saturating and embedding the textile into the system. You are left with zero seams, lap-joints, holes, punctures, folds, or any other access points where water could infiltrate your structure.
2. Improper Installation
The reason you are doing this training is so that you will be well equipped with the knowledge needed to properly install the Hulk Systems. The nice thing, is that as you will learn, the application knowledge is minimal, and the process extremely simple, so as long as you agree to follow the installation as its set out in the next training modules and our technical data, then there should never be an issue. At the end of the course we will have you testify that you understand everything in this course, and will stick to using proper procedures moving forward. 3. Inability to Endure Abuse
The Hulk WP (Waterproofing) fluid applied membrane on its own, could not sustain the abuse of rock slingers and backhoes. Neither could the textile by itself. That’s the beauty of composites. The combination of both literally creates an entirely new material with new properties, that include greatly increased impact resistance, tensile strength, modulus strength, tear resistance, puncture resistance and impact resistance. The way we sell Hulk Composite against our competitors is to give clients what we call smash boards and a hammer.
The proof is in the pudding, as they easily go straight through all the other systems, and when they get to the Hulk Composite sample, they smash, and smash, and smash and smash without breaking the protection. I would say that 99% of the sale is done right there on the spot. Hulk sells itself in its ability to endure abuse like nothing else on the marketplace today. That just covers wear and tear. Hulk WP is also the only fluid applied solution that experiences zero degradation in UV, and has passed compost degradation testing. Most products only claim soil degradation, as compost is highly acidic and is the much harder ASTM to achieve a pass.
4. High Water Absorption
Not only does the existing membrane meet all criteria for a waterproof coating, but the textile has a waterproof property as well, being that it is fiberglass in nature. The added thickness to the system that the textile provides also ensures that the barrier is strong enough to hold up to immense load-weights of hydrostatic force, making the system near impenetrable to liquid intrusion. That said, there’s always room for improvement, which is why the next generation, or as we like to say, the next evolution of the product line is in development and expected to launch Fall 2023. We think a plural component solution that cures in 30 seconds, and can be applied at minus (-) 40˚C / (-) 40˚F will grab a lot of peoples interest. Especially since its rated for submersion in flood zones, tidal zones, and high-water table regions.
