Helpful pointers before getting started.
- The applicator is only as good as their tools.
- A great product can be frustrating to no end if the applicator doesn’t have the right tools.
- If they don’t know how to troubleshoot or run their equipment, an applicator may never attempt to try applying that system again.
Would you say these are fair statements? We’ve all gotten onto that jobsite thinking everything is going to go smooth as butter, and realize we don’t have that pivotal piece of equipment or helpful tool. That one dang part that makes the whole process work. We’ve all tried Gerry-rigging a substitute, only to submit hours into the day, and make the journey to 5 different stores trying to find what we need to press on. How about those times you rent a piece of equipment, and 6 hours later you’ve become an expert in the manual and dismantled the entire machine twice over trying to find the cause of it’s seemingly hopeless condition?
Yep, we feel you. In those moments you wonder why you ever had the bright idea to try something new…cursing the name of whoever sold you on it in the first place.
Well, Hulk Systems does not want you to have that experience, and we would wish to remain curse-free. But we do know the machine in our tool chest that can cause those issues to occur. The airless paint sprayer. With filters, O-rings, seals, tips, hoses any pressurized pump system can be a headache if you don’t know what you’re getting into, and it’s a piece of cake once you get the hang of it! We can almost guarantee it will become your favorite piece of equipment if you treat it right, and put in the time to learn how it works, and how to maintain it. In the long run, your spray pump is going to make you a lot of money, so treat it right!
So right off the bat, we are going to get you to agree to the next eight items:
- Stick to the airless spray units we recommend.
- When you choose your model, request a demo, read the manual, and watch all the videos the manufacturer has available online. Test run before field use.
- Print out the manual for the one you own or save the digital version on your phone. (Equipment somehow knows when you’re in a rural area, miles from Wi-Fi).
- Always carry spare parts and channel locks for your sprayer.
- Phone your distributor or dealer to get the contact of your local spray equipment rep.
- Remember, Hulk Systems has technical support, but we aren’t the experts in these machines! For troubleshooting please contact your assigned rep, and then local dealers first!
- Download this manual here, it covers everything below and then some.
